With the bowling season now at it's peak for the 2005- 06 season, there are lots of events and highlights to touch on. The Bowlero Family Fun Centre is very pleased to have greeted two new leagues this year, the Casino Workers League and the Bethlehem Community Church League. The Casino League is accepting new bowlers and happens every Thursday at 6:15. Our other new league bowls on Friday nights at the same time. On behalf of everyone here at the Bowlero we bid you a warm welcome! Several tournaments and Bowlathons are fast approaching as well. Highlighted by the annual Bowlero Family Fun Centre Cancer Bowlathon, there are several fundraisers that are being hosted at our centre. The Humane Society's annual bowlathon and fundraiser happens Sunday, February 19th, registration is at 11:00 am. To obtain pledge sheets contact the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society. On February 12th the Life Worth Living bowlathon happens. Several tournaments also are also upcoming including a tournament stop by the Michigan Junior Majors which will feature some of the finest young bowlers in the state as well as a handful of our best home grown bowlers. The Junior Majors visit us on Saturday, February 18th at 11:00 am. There will be both a qualifying round for both boys and girls divisions followed by match play until a champion is crowned. It will be tough to surpass the event that was last year's 50th annual Molson Master's tournament. Last years champions Todd Sim on the men's side and Marie Tracy in the women's division will begin defense of their titles during match play. Qualifying rounds begin Saturday March 25th with squads at 12:30 and 3:30. Additional qualifying rounds will take place on Sunday, March 26th at 2:00, Saturday April 1st at 12:30 and 3:30 and the last squad is on Sunday April 2nd at 2:00. The finals will be televised on Cogeco channel 11 at a time TBA. For further details please call us at 258-9321. We continue to make strides to improve our service to our customers with renovations and other changes to make your time here more convenient. The centre's main washroom facilities were recently completely renovated and we are adding a second till to the font desk to aid in shorter waits for lane access.
