It may be bitterly cold outside but the action is just heating up at the Bowlero Family Fun Centre. The February calendar is jam packed with fun events for everyone! On Saturday, February 3rd the Bakers' Doubles tournament happens and along with it comes a great chance to win cash! We've already handed out tons of cash and it will keep going and the more teams that come out, the better! The Baker's doubles is a scratch tournament with an average cap of 420 per team. Teams bowl 8 games across 8 pairs of lanes and the top teams advance to the elimination round. The elimination round knocks out the lowest score each round until a champion is crowned. It's a unique and fun format but a nicely competitive event at the same time. So, find yourself a partner and come out to test your skills and take your chance to take home some cash! On Sunday, Feb 11th "A Life Worth Living" will once again be visiting us. This fantastic organization raises money for the unsighted and related causes. Last year they had over 100 people in attendance and this year they are hoping to double that number. For more information, please see the front desk of the Bowlero or come out on the 11th, the fun starts at 1:00. The annual Bowlero Cancer Bowlathon happens Saturday, February 24th with squads at 12:30 and 3:00. This Bowlero-sponsored event has raised over ONE MILLION dollars for the LOCAL cancer clinic. Anyone can bowl or enter a team, so get your friends, family or work place together and sign out some pledge sheets at the Bowlero or at the cancer clinic and help us support this great cause. Meanwhile on Sunday, February 18th the Essex County Humane Society hosts their annual fund raiser here at the Bowlero Family Fun Centre. So attention all animal lovers! Come out and enjoy an afternoon of fun to help raise money for the Humane Society. The balls roll starting at 1:00. The Bowlero wants to thank our customers for their patience during the installation of our new ball returns. The project was completed well within our time frame and with virtually no down time. We appreciate your patience with the mess and any inconvenience you may have encountered. We are very proud of the new units and we've received several nice comments about how wonderful they look! The Bowlero Family Fun Centre is pleased to welcome Len MacLelland to our staff. Len has been in the bowling and pro shop business for over 30 years and will be a wonderful addition to our staff. Len will be in the pro shop Tuesday and Friday evenings from 2:30 till 9.
